Our first slide deck supported education about international development. It was on the New International Economic Order, discussed how existing trade rules need to change, because they cancel out any “help” we give to countries we’re exploiting. The client was the Ottawa Learner Centre.
Our budget was $300. The slides were copied from organizational libraries using equipment borrowed from a local university. Graphics were hand drawn by a former school-teacher. The show was used for years in local classroom and community education sessions. Later, CIDA published a slide show on the same subject. Their budget was $30,000.
That’s how LIQUID VISUAL fits in, and it’s made us rich in experience.
